Too many Coloradans struggle to afford the prescription drugs they need for their health.
- Prescription drugs play an essential role in preventing, managing, and curing diseases – but drugs don’t work if people can’t afford them. Coloradans deserve to get the medicines they need at a reasonable cost.
- Coloradans pay much higher costs for prescription drugs than consumers in other countries, making them unaffordable for many people. We can save Coloradans as much as 75% on the current costs of unaffordable drugs by bringing them more in line with the costs in other countries.
This is why CCHI worked to pass SB21-175 to create a Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB). The Board has been appointed and has begun its work to lower prescription drug costs for Coloradans. You can find the meeting schedule and corresponding board documents here.
