DENVER – Just in time for the New Year, the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative has launched a new website to make it easier for health care consumers and CCHI members to find important resources and navigate the site.

“Our goal with the new website is to make it a snap for health care consumers to get important information,” said Serena Woods, Colorado Consumer Health Initiatives’ director of strategic engagement.  “Users will find that information on the new site is so easy to find, whether it’s about resources for the uninsured, state legislative action on health care or how to get involved to make sure we all get the health care we need when we need it.”

The website includes basic information about CCHI and it’s priorities, events and press releases, as well as a section on how to get involved in health care advocacy.  Building on CCHI’s social media and online success, website visitors can now sign up for updates via email, Twitter and Facebook and make donations online.

New features include a provider map of the state to allow Coloradans without health insurance to better find health care providers who can help them, as well as a blog authored by various CCHI health policy staff experts, member organizations and partners.

“Our blog will provide real-time analysis of both state and national health care reform efforts,” said Colorado Consumer Health Initiative’s executive director Dede de Percin.  “We hope to become the go-to source for clear, timely updates on all health care action that impact Coloradans.”

The website can be found at www.cohealthinitiative.org.

Colorado Consumer Health Initiative represents 30+ Colorado health organizations with more than 500,000 health care consumer members and advocates for affordable, accessible quality health care for all Coloradans.
