The 16th annual National Women’s Health Week kicks off on Mother’s Day, May 10, and is celebrated until May 16, 2015. The goal of the week is to empower women to make health a priority and to help them understand what steps they can take to improve their health. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, Colorado’s Medicaid expansion, as well as the state-based marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado, women can now put their health first by taking advantage of many free, preventive services.

We’ve put together many resources, including a social media toolkit, for individuals and organizations to help spread the word of National Women’s Health Week and these many benefits to their friends and family. The toolkit includes an infographic that explains what services are available, sample tweets, Facebook posts, images, and much more. Feel free to use whatever you would like and make sure to add the hashtag #NWHW. You can also joins us on May 13, at 1PM (MST) for a Twitter Chat to learn more about the week, your health insurance, and how to stay healthy!

Follow us on Twitter @COHealthAccess for #NWHW updates all week!
