Salena is from Portland, Oregon and a recent graduate of Colorado College with a B.A. in Organismal Biology and Ecology. During her time in school, she did research in the electron microscopy lab and worked in the teaching greenhouse. Salena began her community advocacy work at Colorado College while leading the Student Organization for Sexual Safety. As the CCHI Consumer Assistance Program Fellow, Salena is looking forward to increasing healthcare accessibility and affordability through direct consumer support and empowerment. In her free time you can find her cooking, casually biking around the city, and making jewelry.
