Madi joined CCHI in November 2023 as a Consumer Assistance Program Coordinator under the Medical Financial Partnership program. In her role, she is responsible for assisting consumers with financial assistance, surprise billing, and claims, with the goal of reducing financial strains for consumers and promoting informed decisions when navigating Colorado’s healthcare system.
Before joining CCHI, Madi worked at Connect for Health Colorado as a policy analyst intern, and at the University of Colorado Denver as a graduate assistant, where she regularly worked on healthcare and financial assistance-related research, particularly focused on under-resourced communities throughout rural Colorado. From these experiences, she became very passionate about equitable, accessible, and affordable healthcare, which has led to her continuing to fuel this passion by joining CCHI.
Madi was raised in Crawford, Colorado as a hay farmer’s granddaughter, and graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with her B.A. in Anthropology. She is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Medical Anthropology with a concentration on equitable healthcare, policy analysis, and qualitative research. In her free time, she enjoys reading and painting, stargazing, and spending time with her fur babies and family.
