Rivers Isaacson is a Master of Social Work student at Metropolitan State University of Denver and is interning at CCHI for the 2022-2023 school year. A native of San Diego, Rivers first moved to the Denver area to do his master’s degree in political science at CU Boulder. He has also completed a master’s degree in sociology, during which his research specialized in public health policy, health disparities, and social determinants of health. His most recent M.A. thesis demonstrated a correlation between electoral outcomes and public health in U.S. counties. After graduating with his Master of Social Work in May 2023, Rivers plans to work in policy analysis and advocacy in Denver. In his free time he enjoys softball, golf, backpacking, live music and standup comedy.
