Emma recently graduated from Colorado College, where she studied English, Spanish, and Philosophy. She is originally from Lakewood, Colorado. During college, Emma worked at the Colorado College Writing Center as a tutor and at CC’s Office of Global Education, where she worked with incoming international students. Throughout her time at school she cultivated her interest in bilingual education policy and immigration policy through a variety of research and volunteer projects in and out of the classroom. She served as the student representative of the English department, and wrote her senior thesis on food and migration in Victorian literature. She was also involved with CC’s bridge club and orchestra, and loves to hike, watch plants grow, and play trivia.
