“Before the last open enrollment period, 740,000 Coloradoans, 17 percent of whom had a first language other than English, lacked health insurance. Last year, 31 percent of Hispanics in Colorado didn’t have health care.
The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative has a new online site to guide Spanish-speakers through the process of signing up for health care. Anyone who feels more comfortable in Spanish than English can call the La Plata Family Center Coalition at 385-4747 for an orientation.
