“Colorado consumer advocate Adela Flores-Brennan has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the board of directors of the state health insurance exchange, Connect for Health Colorado.
Flores-Brennan has been director of the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative for almost a year. She has worked in law and public policy in Colorado for 15 years.
Flores-Brennan served as Connect for Health Colorado’s director of community-based assistance programs, where she managed two statewide networks providing outreach, education and assistance with application and enrollment. And she worked on health policy and other issues for more than five years at the Colorado Center on Law and Policy.
“My goal will be to ensure the success and sustainability of Colorado’s health insurance marketplace for consumers,” Flores-Brennan said in a statement Wednesday.”
