Your Voice Counts

Welcome to "Your Voice Counts" presented by Rocky Mountain PBS with generous support from The Colorado Trust! Healthcare reform is critical to the success of our nation and state. The status quo is unacceptable and unsustainable. The cost of doing nothing is too great to the people of Colorado.
Health care in Colorado must be: -Accessible: Coloradans should have access to affordable health care in every part of the State. -Affordable: No one should ever go bankrupt because they get sick and parents should never have to choose between putting food on the table and paying for health care. -Comprehensive: Health insurance should cover preventative care and prescriptions in addition to sick care. -Quality: Coloradans should have access to the highest quality care that reduces waste and unnecessary procedures. -Guaranteed: No one should be denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions or have their coverage canceled when they get sick. We all know someone who with a health care story to share. Rocky Mountain PBS has been collecting these stories to illustrate how lives are affected by the many aspects of our current healthcare system.
