Connecting Care and Health in Colorado: Supplemental Safety Net Fact Sheet

We know approximately 770,000 of Colorado’s residents have no health insurance. This may be due to the fact that families are not aware of programs and services that are available; are not offered health insurance at the workplace or if offered, cannot afford their share of the premiums.What further contributes to children’s lack of access is their parents’ lack of access to health care. The purpose of this guide is to let uninsured families, health care providers, and other social services workers know what health care options are available for the uninsured in our communities.This invaluable fact sheet contains cited information, facts, and statistics about the realities and current state of health care in Colorado.
